Welcome to Dark Breeze- the racing part of Nightwind Equestrian Stables. Here at Dark Breeze, we have top quality care for our racers. Handmade nameplates hang outside of every stall in our large, clean, barns.

There is a wide and short path through the trees. Despite it's nearness to the hustle and bustle of Nightwind Equestrian Stables, Dark Breeze is remote and peaceful. It's great, because there is less to distract and disturb the high-strung racers. When you enter Dark Breeze, you will see a large sign with the image of a racer and "Dark Breeze- Racers of Nightwind" engraved in it. A little ways off is the small stallion barn, with a lush field nearby. The stable consists of ten large stalls. Off to the left, you can see the Mares and Retired Racers stable. An isle separates the two rows of stalls. The first half, the mare half, consists of eight stalls. Four are on one side, and the other four on the other side- facing them. Each stall has a security camera to provide maximum watch and security over any foaling and other mares. Two of the 8 stalls are of a large, foaling size, with extra bedding. Foaling mares may be moved to Nightwind's main stabling so that I can watch over them easier. However, our breeding program at Dark Breeze is quickly expanding. Then, there is a thin wall, across the entire width of the stable, and a dorway to the office. There is another door and wall on the other side of the office. The second half has 6 stalls- three on each side- the tackroom, and the bathroom. This is the side for retired racers. Each stall is very large to provide maximum comfort for these older horses. Near this stable is our brand new training stable. This stable has 12 stalls on one side. The other side has 8 stalls, the heated washing stall, the office- with an ajoining bathroom-and the tackroom. Above the barn are the staff rooms. DB's staff has the option of living right there near the horses. Near the barn is the feed storage shed. Actually it is not really a shed, but rather a very small building. The hay and grain are kept there, protected by the damp, wet, or other negative conditions, and they are located not in the barn but near it so that if there was a hay fire, there would be more of a chance to save the horses as the fire would need a while before spreading to the barn. Then, farther from the trees is the 1/2 mile training track. One side runs almost parallel to part of the pasture. Farther off, slighly in the trees, lies the small house that is my home. There is also a small, but extremely clean and fairly shallow, lake that is used for swimming the horses. Dark Breeze looks forward to stunning the racing world!! I know that DB will be awesome, like the previous barn I managed- Sapphire Racing Stables. :)
